Keeping Your Child’s Baby Teeth Healthy:
They’re just baby teeth, they are just going to fall out anyway. Right? This is not the case according to the America Dental Association.
Children’s primary teeth, largely known as “baby teeth”, are just as important as adult teeth. Baby teeth, which usually begin to appear between age six months and one year, help children chew and speak. They also hold space in the jaws for permanent teeth that are growing under the gums. The ADA recommends that a dentist examine a child within six months after the first tooth comes, or by the child’s first birthday. Dental visits at an early age can help detect problems early, avoid problems early, and teach you how to take care and clean your child’s teeth properly.
